1.1 This standard will provide a qualitative means to determine the potential effects of plasticizers contained within polyvinyl chloride (PVC) floor covering materials on a specific adhesive. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. This practice can be used as an indicator to determine if plasticizers in the flooring material are compatible with proposed installation adhesive(s).
