                该标准规定了在薄板（sheet）重叠且厚度为（0.5~3）mm的材料上进行单点焊缝、深焊焊缝及双角投影焊缝机械剥离试验的试片尺寸和试验程序，此时焊缝最大直径为（其中t为mm单位薄板厚度）。对于直径在5 t和之间的情况，得到的笔强度值可能低于建议的试片时的预期值，因为试片宽度设计为焊接部直径在5 t以下。机械剥离试验的目的是决定试片所能支撑的笔强度。

이 표준은 박판(sheet)이 겹치고 두께가 (0.5 ~ 3) mm인 재료에서 단일 점 용접부, 심 용접부 및 양각된 프로젝션 용접부의 기계화된 박리 시험을 위한 시험편 치수와 시험절차를 명시하며, 이때 용접부의 최대 지름은 이다(여기서 t는 mm 단위의 박판의 두께이다). 5√t와 사이의 지름의 경우 얻어진 필 강도 값은 시험편의 폭이 5√t 이하의 용접부의 지름으로 설계되기 때문에 권고된 시험편을 시용했을 때 기대되었던 것보다 낮을 수 있다. 기계화된 박리 시험의 목적은 시험편이 지탱할 수 있는 필 강도를 결정하기 위함이다.
