This paper introduces the experience NYPI obtained from the international academic cooperation (IAC) with foreign institutes. By the IAC, the cooperating institutes share the same experience in the development of automation education. The strategy to look for cooperating institutes and to execute the cooperative activities are described to provide a path toward a successful cooperation for the reference of interest. The benefit of IAC covers both teaching staff and students. An exchange program and research cooperation conducted in a multi-culture environment provides a very good channel to mutual understanding for the students of the new generation.
