                该标准规定了挤压加工的铝及铝合金棒（以下简称挤压棒）、拉拔加工的铝及铝合金棒（以下简称拉拔棒），以及拉拔加工的铝及铝合金的线（以下简称拉拔线）。该标准规定截面形状为圆形、正方形、正方形。适用于矩形（短边长度超过长边长度的1/10的形状）和正六边形杆及线。如果截面的形状为正方形、矩形和正六边形，则不适用于指定角半径的形状。

이 표준은 압출 가공한 알루미늄 및 알루미늄 합금 봉(이하, 압출 봉이라고 한다.), 인발 가공한 알루 미늄 및 알루미늄 합금 봉(이하, 인발 봉이라고 한다.) 또한, 인발 가공한 알루미늄 및 알루미늄 합금의 선(이하, 인발선이라고 한다.)에 대하여 규정한다.이 표준은 단면 모양이 원형, 정사각형, 직사각형(짧은 변의 길이가 긴 변의 길이의 1/10을 초과한 모양) 및 정육각형 봉 및 선에 적용한다. 단면의 모양이 정사각형, 직사각형 및 정육각형인 경우에는 각의 반지름이 지정되어 있는 모양에는 적용하지 않는다.
