This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Cache Creek Casino and Destination Resort, Rumsey, California that serves as an example of using a reuse application. Water supply challenges included high background total dissolved solids (TDS) levels concentrated by closed-loop reuse and low wastewater effluent TDS limits. Characteristics of water usage, water sources, and water disposal are presented, along with Strategy 1 Wastewater Treatment - remove TDS from wastewater effluent, and Strategy 2 Groundwater Treatment - remove TDS from groundwater wells. Process candidates included: reverse osmosis (RO); lime softening; and, electrodialysis reversal (EDR). Brine rejection concentration and selection and implementation are outlined. Includes tables.
