This specification covers the requirements for the preparation of the On-Equipment Maintenance Manual Set (OMMS) for USAF equipment. Use of Standardized System Subsystem Sub-Subsystem Numbering (SSSN) assignment in accordance with MIL-STD-1808 provides maximum cross referencing and reducing the research time required to locate needed data. DTDs, TDTs, and other files in the DSS for electronic delivery of data can be accessed at the Technical Manual Specifications and Standards (TMSS) website (see A.3.4.).
