This slide presentation outlines a study to develop rate models for chloramine
decay in the distribution system (DS) of Raleigh, North Carolina. Specific objectives include:
measure the decay rate in bulk water at different
DS locations;
measure the chloramine decay rate in PSR and
calculate a wall reaction rate;
specify rate equations for decay rate in bulk water
and at pipe wall as function of pH, temperature and
velocity for use in H2OMAP (MWHSoft) of Raleigh
DS. Conclusions are given for: decay rate in bulk water; decay rate in CIP section; and, decay rate in DIP. Includes tables, figures.
