The material to be presented is the result of a six month literature search that focuses on the filtration aspects of microbiological aerosols. After collecting, categorizing and reviewing a large body of literature dealing with microbial contamination of indoor air, summary tables were prepared. These results summarize the types of problem indoor bioaerosols, their sources, modes of transmission and control strategies within HVAC systems. Tables are provided for easy visualization summaries. An annotated bibliography containing all references and sources is provided. The annotated bibliography includes key words and abstracts of the source material used.A comprehensive outline and report of the work to be done in phase II was drafted in response to information not found in the phase I literature search.
