Typing of Natural Organic Matter (NOM). Multi-method Characterization of NOM Isolated From Nine Different Surface Water Sources in Norway. A Pilot Project.
天然有机物(NOM)的类型 从挪威九个不同地表水源分离的NOM的多种方法表征 试点项目
Efficient methods for removal of humic substances/natural organic matter (NOM) from drinking water have been available for a long time. However, in order to improve the quality and stability of the finished water and reduce the general costs of producing drinking water, there is a need for more information. The idea behind the "typing of NOM" is the assumption that NOM in fresh water may be divided into groups that have similar physical/chemical/biological properties. The purpose of this research is to demonstrate that raw water containing NOM belonging to Group X, will be most efficiently removed by Treatment Method Y. Most methods used for describing the properties and composition of NOM are based on a pre-concentration. In general, the pretreatment of samples prior to NOM analysis will effect the results. This is important in relation to inter laboratory cooperation, which is the base for the typing of NOM project. The samples are all concentrated in the same way and by the same crew. This basic pretreatment is also practical for the distribution of the samples.
