The scope of this project was set to include a search and evaluation of the literature pertinent to making specific recommendations for developing an improved calculation procedure for pressure drop in refrigerant suction lines operating on the liquid-overfeed system. Refrigerant R-717 (Ammonia) systems had the most urgent interest, but R-12, R-502, and R-22 were also to be included. The physical conditions of the flow including liquid mass fraction, temperature and pressure ranges, pipe sizes, consideration of pipe fittings, and flow rates were also included in the work statement.The final project report was divided into two parts:Part I -- Literature SurveyPart II -- Design Tables
