Determining the Health Risks of Using Restored Wetlands to Supply a Well Field: A Quantitative Microbiological Risk Assessment
This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting the overall project objective of evaluating the feasibility of rehydrating existing wetlands overlying an aquifer used for drinking water supply, including storm water (Interceptor Canal) and reclaimed water (DMAWWTP). Project components included the following: sampling; groundwater modeling; environmental risk assessment; and, human health risk assessment. The question addressed by this presentation is, "What is the microbial human health risk posed by wetland restoration?" Includes tables, figures.
