The manufacture of citrus juices and by-products is an important process from a global economic perspective. Citrus juice, especially orange, is consumed by practically every culture in the world. Citrus processing is the conversion and manufacture of several products and by-products of citrus fruit into commercial products. Citrus juice products are produced in several forms. The most common form produced worldwide is frozen concentrated orange juice (FCOJ). The most convenient form for citrus juice is ready to serve including another rapidly growing product known as not-from-concentrate. Other important by-products, such as essential cold pressed citrus oils, are manufacturing from citrus.
