                该标准规定了在受盐分污染的户外环境下，对有或无临时方式或永久方式的金属材料进行相对评价的加速腐蚀试验的机构和试验程序。该试验方法包括将试片暴露在中性盐水喷雾、干燥、湿润的反复循环中的过程。不规定试验片的类型和暴露时间。与中性盐水喷雾试验等常规试验方法相比，其特别的优点是可以更好地模拟户外的盐分污染环境。这个标准适用于以下情况:金属和合金材料-金属涂层材料（阳极和阴极）-置换涂层材料-阳极氧化涂层材料-金属上的有机涂层材料

이 표준은 염분으로 오염된 옥외 환경하에서 임시 방식 또는 영구 방식이 있거나 없는 경우의 금속 재료의 상대적 평가를 위한 가속 부식 시험을 시행하는 기구와 시험 절차에 대해 규정한다. 이 시험 방법은 시험편을 중성의 염수 분무, 건조, 습윤의 반복 사이클에 노출시키는 과정을 포함한다. 시험편의 유형과 노출 기간은 규정하지 않는다. 중성 염수 분무 시험과 같은 일반적인 시험 방법에 비해 특별한 장점은 옥외의 염분 오염 환경을 보다 잘 모사할 수 있다는 점이다. 이 표준은 다음의 경우에 적용된다. - 금속 및 합금재 - 금속 코팅재(양극과 음극) - 치환 코팅재 - 양극 산화 코팅재 - 금속 위의 유기 코팅재
