THIS PAPER REPORTS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF A NOVEL FIBER OPTIC COMPOSITE CURE MONITOR WHICH HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR ADVANCED COMPOSITE FABRICATION PROCESS CONTROL. EXPERIMENTS WERE CONDUCTED USING A THERMOSET RESIN COMMONLY USED WITH GRAPHITE/EPOXY COMPOSITES. FEASIBILITY WAS DEMONSTRATED WITH NEAT RESIN SPECIMENS, AS WELL AS PREIMPREGNATED GRAPHITE/EPOXY COUPONS.
