States that the growth of electronic loads, including electronic drives and programmable controllers, has resulted in an increase in equipment and process failures. This is often due to an incompatibility of these devices with their electrical environment. Efficiently diagnosing power quality problems requires an extensive set of skills. The knowledge base for these skills is fragmented and dispersed. Presents a format and methodology for the organisation and storage of expert knowledge obtained from those familiar with the diagnosis of power quality problems.
