This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District (ERWSD) in Colorado's Vail Valley. The purpose of this study was divided into two parts.
Phase I involved:
reviewing the District's water accounting structure and its
water use and customer billing data systems;
evaluating historical water use and UAW information; and,
identifying any subsequent studies or efforts that may be
required in later phases.
Phase 2 involved:
developing a revised water accounting model; and,
developing a water accounting manual. The basic process included:
examining trends in ERWSD billed water volumes; examining trends in ERWSD unaccounted-for water; examining the District's current water accounting
organizational structure, methodology and reporting
statistics;
recommending near- and long-term improvements and
suggestions; and,
developing a revised water accounting model. An Example Performance Plan for a
Raw Water Resources Operator. Includes figures.
