该标准规定了半挂车用牵引车辆安装板（标准第5轮，第4节）或框架（直接安装的第5轮，第5节）上直接安装的第5轮安装和兼容性所需的尺寸特性。适用于牵引准备以下的半挂车的第五轮-ISO 337中定义的50联轴器销-ISO 4086中定义的90联轴器销未规定尺寸由组件制作者自行决定。50和90第五轮联轴器所需满足的试验条件和强度要求条件由ISO 8717规定。

이 표준은 세미 트레일러용 견인 차량의 장착 플레이트(표준 제5륜, 4절) 또는 프레임(직접 장착되는 제5륜, 5절)에 직접적으로 장착되는 제5륜 장착과 호환성을 위해 필요한 치수적 특성에 대하여 규정한다. 다음을 채비한 세미 트레일러를 견인하기 위한 제5륜에 적용된다. — ISO 337에 정의된 50 커플링 핀 — ISO 4086에 정의된 90 커플링 핀 규정되지 않은 치수는 구성 요소 제작자의 재량에 달려 있다. 50과 90 제5륜 커플링이 충족해야 하는 시험 조건과 강도 요구 조건은 ISO 8717의 규정되어 있다.
