이 규격은 무기물 절연 열전대 케이블과 열전대의 요 구 사항에 대하여 규정하지만 냉접점 봉인, 끝단, 접 속, 다른 액세서리에 대해서는 규정하지 않는다. 이 규격은 한 쌍의 금속 도체를 가지는 케이블과 열전대 에 대해서만 취급하며 일반적인 산업 응용에 적용하 기 위한 것이다.
