This paper describes the Water Conservation Implementation Task Force (Task Force) created by the Texas legislature and selected by the Texas Water Development Board. The paper lists the criteria the Task Force will use in reviewing, evaluating and recommending the optimum levels of water use efficiency and conservation for the state. The paper lists the entities and interest groups represented on the Task Force, along with six factors that were used in evaluating the nominees and in making recommendations for individual selections to the Task Force. Using these parameters, 32 nominees were selected for membership on the Task Force, which will develop a best management practices guide for use by regional water planning groups and political subdivisions responsible for water delivery service.
