This paper highlights the treatment process evaluation that led up to the selection of submerged membranes for the City of Kennewick, Washington's Water Filtration Plant (WFP) Improvements Project. Membrane vendor considerations and the membrane system procurement process are presented along with a discussion of the design approach and considerations for implementing a new technology to retrofit Kennewick's conventional water filtration plant.
