                该标准规定了测试主要使用的防护服材料穿透性和动态热现象抗性的试验方法，该试验方法是在屏蔽膜因划痕（snagging）或过热现象而对自身造成较大损伤或对佩戴者造成危险结果的情况下进行。另外，测量的性能水平可以规定在与穿透大小和突发发热相关的危险情况下使用的材料。

이 표준은 차단막이 스내깅(snagging)이나 인열 현상으로 인해 자체에 큰 손상을 입거나 착용자에게 위험한 결과를 일으킬 수 있는 상황에서 주로 사용되는 보호복 재료의 꿰뚫림과 동적 인열 현상에 대한 저항성을 측정하기 위한 시험방법을 규정한다. 또한 측정된 성능 수준은 꿰뚫림 크기와 돌발적으로 발 생하는 인열과 관련된 위험한 상황에서 사용하는 재료를 규정할 수 있게 한다.
