本规范适用于发行版印刷品上的图像和摄影声音记录。还规定了soubnd记录扫描光束的宽度和横向位置及其相对于相应图像帧的位置。录音应以每秒24个穿孔的速度正确复制，对应于每秒24帧的电影放映速度。

The specifications apply to image and photographic sound records on release prints. Also specified are the width and lateral position of the soubnd record scanning beam and its diplacement relative to the corresponding image frame. The sound record shall be properly reproduced at 24 perforations per second which corresponds to a film projection speed of 24 frames per second.
