This document is intended to address inspection and testing of fiber optic cable assemblies at beginning of life (BOL). It is understood that the equipment described in this document is intended for use in a fabrication environment.The purpose is to develop aerospace fiber optic standards for quality and testing of; Jumpers, measurement quality, for aerospace testing (AMQJs); End face geometry, examination of termination quality; Link Loss measurement definition; Inspection, end face finish, acceptability, cleanliness.
