本标准规定了用于一般道路施工材料的熔融固化矿渣材料（以下简称熔渣），如沥青混合料骨料、路基材料和银行材料。本标准涵盖的熔渣是为在熔融固化设施中有效利用城市固体废物、污水污泥等而制造的熔渣材料，包括以下内容。熔渣是熔融固化材料的同义词。市政当局委托私营熔融固化设施处理城市固体废物产生的熔渣，或市政当局批准再利用的城市固体废物与工业废物一起处理产生的熔渣。 在熔融固化设施或单独设施中进行磁选、粒度调整等处理或性能修改的熔渣。熔渣分为粒状渣、风冷渣和缓冷渣。在本标准中，术语“缓冷渣”指风冷渣和缓冷渣。

This Standard specifies the melt-solidified slag material (hereafter referred to as molten slag) to be used for general road construction materials such as aggregate for asphalt mixture, roadbed material, and banking material.The molten slag covered by this Standard is a slag material manufactured for the purpose of efficient utilization of the municipal solid waste, sewage sludge, etc. in the melt-solidifying facilities, and includes the following. Molten slag is synonymous with melt-solidified material.The molten slag produced in private melt-solidifying facilities which are entrusted by the municipal authorities to treat the municipal solid waste, or that produced when municipal solid waste is treated together with industrial waste whose reuse is approved by the municipal authorities.The molten slag subjected to treatment such as magnetic selection, particle size adjustment, etc. or property modification in the melt-solidifying facilities or separate facilities.Molten slags are classified into granulated slag, air-cooled slag and slow-cooled slag. In this Standard, the term "slow-cooled slag" refers to both the air-cooled slag and slow-cooled slag.
