该标准适合结构和绝缘，适用于外部屏蔽、机械保护和接头/电线纵切防变形和多次转移的材料范围内的热收缩模具形状。描述设计、尺寸、试验方法、要求材料和合适的性能。最通常可利用的形状出现在附属署A上。根据这一特性，材料满足确立的水平性能。但特定适用用户的材料选定不应仅根据特性，而应根据适用性能所需的实际必要条件。

이 표준은 구조와 절연에 적합하고, 외부 차단, 기계적 보호와 커넥터/전선 종단의 변형 방지와 복수 전이의 재료 범위 안의 열수축 몰드 형상에 적용 가능하다. 설계, 치수, 시험방법, 요구 재료와 적합한 성능을 기술한다. 가장 통상적 이용 가능한 형상이 부속서 A에 나타나 있다. 이 특성에 따르는 재료는 확립된 수준의 성능을 만족한다. 그러나 특정 적용 사용자의 재료 선정은 단지 특성에만 근거하지 않고 적용에 적합한 성능에 필요한 실제 필요 요구조건에 근거해야 한다.
