该标准规定了在下列条件下使用的听力测量设备校准的听力倒置标准。a）在没有听众的情况下，音长由自由进行平面波（自由音长）或扩散音长组成，如KS I ISO 8253-2所规定。对于自由音长，音源位于听众的正面（正面入射）。b）声信号在自由声场条件下为正弦波，在扩散声场条件下为1/3倍频带噪声（白色或粉色）。c）声压级在没有听众的情况下，在听众头部中心所在的地方测量。d）听取双方的耳朵。

이 표준은 다음 조건에서 사용하는 청력측정설비 교정을 위한 청력역치 기준을 규정한다. a) 청취자가 없는 경우의 음장은 KS I ISO 8253-2에 규정된 것과 같이 자유 진행 평면파(자유음장) 또는 확산음장으로 구성한다. 자유음장의 경우 음원은 청취자의 정면에 위치한다(정면 입사). b) 음향 신호는 자유음장 조건에서는 정현파이며, 확산음장 조건에서는 1/3옥타브 대역 잡음(백색 또는 핑크)이다. c) 음압레벨은 청취자가 없는 상태에서 청취자의 머리 중심이 위치하는 곳에서 측정한다. d) 양쪽 귀 청취이다.
