Surface Water Treatment by Integrated Membrane Systems with In-Line Coagulation 在线混凝集成膜系统处理地表水

The two primary objectives of a pilot study done at the 6.0 mgd iron coagulation and lime softening treatment plant in Bowling Green, Ohio, were as follows: evaluate the effectiveness of various pretreatment processes to minimize the rate of fouling of the selected composite-thin-film (CTF) nanofiltration (NF) membrane; and, evaluate the effectiveness of the CTF nanofiltration membrane to produce a quality finished water. Pilot-scale treatment trains included coagulation-sedimentation-filtration (CSF), microfiltration, and ultrafiltration pretreatment followed by NF. In addition CS-UF pretreatment have been studied and in-line coagulation (ILC) before the UF process. An operational matrix of four - two week experiments for each process train was developed. Fluxes of 7 and 14 gfd and recoveries of 65% and 85% were tested in four experiments, which is equivalent to 8 weeks of operation. Each pretreatmnet process was to be sequentially tested since only one nanofiltration skid was available. Includes 3 references, tables, figures.
