The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) conducted this study to determine the
indoor end uses of water in single-family residences and the water savings for each end use
associated with the installation of water conserving fixtures and appliances. This study
represents the second in a series of three end use studies. The first study, conducted by the
Seattle Public Utilities, was completed in 2000. The third study in this series is now
underway and being conducted by the Tampa Water Department. Includes tables, figures.
