ISO 2789:2013规定了图书馆和信息服务界收集和报告统计数据的规则:
为了国际报告的目的；
确保各国图书馆管理人员经常使用但不具备国际报告资格的统计指标的一致性；
鼓励在图书馆和信息服务管理中使用统计数据的良好做法。
ISO 2789:2013 specifies rules for the library and information services community on the collection and reporting of statistics:
for the purposes of international reporting;
to ensure conformity between countries for those statistical measures that are frequently used by library managers, but do not qualify for international reporting;
to encourage good practice in the use of statistics for the management of library and information services.
