该标准适用于与图1及图2类似配置的加压轻水反应堆(PWR),并提出了低温停运中路心内适度冷却监视的条件。适当的劳心冷却可以通过劳心提供足够的冷却材料来实现,以消除热量。在低温停车驾驶中,劳心冷却是通过余热清除系统(RHRS)强制循环实现的。但是,为了维持维修运输,在反应堆压力容器(RPV)内降低水位的静止驾驶时,强制循环被切断,可能导致鲁心过热。
이 표준은 그림 1 및 그림 2와 같은 구성과 유사한 구성의 가압경수로(PWR)에 적용되며, 저온정지 운 전 중 노심 내 적정 냉각 감시를 위한 요건을 제시한다. 적정 노심 냉각은 열을 제거하기 위해 노심으로 충분한 냉각재를 제공함으로써 이루어질 수 있다. 저온정지 운전 중, 노심 냉각은 잔열제거계통(RHRS)을 통한 강제 순환에 의해 이루어진다. 그러나 유 지보수운전을 위하여 원자로 압력용기(RPV) 내 수위를 낮추는 정지 운전시, 강제 순환이 차단되어 노 심이 과열될 수도 있다.
