Abrasive Waterjet Systems For Production Applications 用于生产应用的磨料水射流系统

PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS A CUTTING TOOL FOR LOW VOLUME AND CUSTOM PART PRODUCTION, ABRASIVE WATERJET (AWJ) TECHNOLOGY HAS ADVANCED TO A POINT WHERE IT IS NOW A VIABLE TOOL FOR HIGH-VOLUME PRODUCTION. RESULTS SHOW AWJ CAN EFFECTIVELY COMPETE WITH OTHER METHODOLOGIES. CONFIGURATION OPTIONS, CUTTING TECHNIQUES, AUTOMATION, AND ACCURACY IMPROVEMENTS HAVE TAKEN AWJ TO ANOTHER LEVEL, ALLOWING IT TO MOVE INTO APPLICATIONS PREVIOUSLY NOT PERCEIVED TO BE WITHIN ITS CAPABILITY. THIS PAPER WILL SERVE TO EDUCATE JOB SHOPS AND IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION FACILITIES ON THESE ADVANCEMENTS AND RESULTS ACHIEVED BY AWJ USERS.
