ADVANCEMENTS IN THE EFFICIENCY OF SYSTEM HARDWARE HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THIS GROWING ACCEPTANCE. CLOSE TOLERANCE, REPEATABLE PART PRODUCTION IS ACHIEVABLE WITH LONG LIFE MIXING TUBES AND CONSISTENT ABRASIVE FLOWS. INTEGRATION OF ABRASIVE WATERJETS ONTO SINGLE AND MULTIPLE AXIS CUTTING MACHINES ENABLES USERS TO CUT PARTS TO FINISH TOLERANCES. ALONG WITH OUTLINING THE SYSTEM COMPONENTS AND THE OPERATION OF THOSE COMPONENTS, THIS PAPER OUTLINES TYPICAL COSTS, CUT SPEEDS AND OPERATING PARAMETERS. ANTICIPATED FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS IN ABRASIVE WATERJET MACHINING ARE REFERENCED.
