该标准说明了决定光纤元件或盒体（closure）适合性的步骤，以承受运营、保管和/或运输过程中可能发生的湿度和温度变化。为了显示短期冷冻后暴露在热湿环境中的元件的性能，进行试验。在该试验中，为了促进软化（软化）及膨胀引起潜在故障的高温条件、水分吸收及膨胀（膨胀），进行了高湿条件、促进冰的形成、形成及收缩的低温条件下的试验等。该试验采用多种苛刻度水平，不同于其他循环（循环）环境试验，特别是IEC61300-2-46的高温高湿循环试验和IEC61300-2-2-21的复合温湿度循环试验，这是因为以下条件。a）更大的周期数b）更大的周期性温度范围c）减少的周期期间

이 표준은 운영, 보관 및/또는 운반 중에 일어날 수 있는 습도 및 온도의 변화를 견뎌내기 위한 광섬유 소자나 함체(closure)의 적합성을 결정하기 위한 절차를 설명한다. 단기간 냉동된 후 열과 습도에 노출된 소자의 성능을 나타내기 위해 시험을 수행한다.이 시험에서는 연화(softening) 및 팽창에 의한 잠재적인 고장을 일으키는 고온 조건, 수분 흡수 및 팽윤(swelling)을 촉진하기 위해 고습 조건, 얼음의 형성, 취성 및 수축을 촉진하는 저온 조건에서의 시험 등을 시행한다.이 시험은 다양한 가혹도 수준을 적용함으로써 다른 싸이클링(순환) 환경 시험, 특히 IEC 61300－2-46의 고온 고습 순환 시험과 IEC 61300－2-21의 복합 온도 습도 순환 시험과 다른데, 이는 다음과 같은 조건 때문이다.a) 더 큰 주기 수b) 더 큰 주기적인 온도 범위c) 감소된 주기 기간
