This slide presentation outlines information on the Eugene Water & Electric Board's Home Water Survey Database program that was started in 1997. It's primary goal is to reduce outdoor water use by introducing evapotranspiration guidelines, making sprinkler measurements and adjustments, and using drip irrigation. It's secondary goal is to reduce indoor water use by leak detection and repair and fixture replacement. Information is given on the Home Water Survey (HWS) Database and its tasks are listed and include: select potential participants; generate invitation letters; record appointments; enter data collected during survey; generate customer report and export it to a word processor for customization; track turn around time; snapshot evaluation; evaluate water use from actual billing records; create control group; and, generate a customer follow up letter for 3 years after the survey.
