Provides a basic introduction on the importance of standards in the field of modelling and simulation. M&S standards of relevance to Australian industry, government organisations and academia are categorised and listed. The categories are presented within a framework to group standards into relevant topic areas. Guidance on the standards is given in an Appendix.
