                该标准提供了与该标准中规定的开放系统互连（OSI）物理层行为相关的开放系统的管理信息元素标准。物理层管理标准超出了该标准的范围。物理层管理由以下标准定义:根据管理信息的结构标准中的说明定义物理层管理对象的管理对象集—管理对象和属性与层行为以及层中其他对象和属性的关系—OSI系统管理中物理层管理对象属性的活动类型行为。

이 표준은 이 표준에서 규정된 개방형 시스템 상호 접속(OSI) 물리층의 동작과 관련된 개방형 시스템에 서의 관리 정보 요소 표준을 제공한다. 물리층 관리 표준은 이 표준의 범위 밖이다. 물리층 관리는 다음 사항의 표준에 의해 정의된다. ― 관리 정보의 구조 표준의 지침에 따른 물리층 관리 객체의 관리 객체 집합 정의 ― 관리 객체 및 속성과 계층 동작 및 계층의 다른 객체 및 속성과의 관계 ― OSI 시스템 관리에서 물리층 관리 객체의 속성에 대한 활동 유형 동작
