本标准规定了一种检查光学连接元件（包括永久连接）和光纤耦合器或用于制造和终止光学部件的材料的试样的能力的方法，以承受霉菌或真菌的生长而不变质。 它应与EN 2591-100一起使用
This standard specifies a method of checking the ability of optical connection elements (including permanent connections) and fibre optic couplers or specimens of the materials used in the manufacture and termination of optical components, to withstand mould or fungus growth without deterioration. It shall be used together with EN 2591-100.
