本标准规定了在使用光学接触器和光纤耦合器的光学连接元件（包括永久连接）时检测功率分布变化的方法。 这些变化归因于模式选择性损失机制或耦合模式分布不均匀。 它应与EN 2591-100一起使用
This standard specifies a method of detecting changes in the power distribution when using optical connection elements (including permanent connections) with optical contacts and fibre optic couplers. These changes are attributable to mode-selective loss mechanisms or uneven distribution of coupled modes. It shall be used together with EN 2591-100.
