Time Based Manufacturing Models have been applied in UK companies to aid restructuring of supply chains and internal value adding systems. Time Based Measurement offers practitioners a robust and highly structured method of analysis prior to restructuring actions. Within this technical paper the development of new and innovative models to measure organizational performance will be outlined and two implementation case studies presented. Time Based Performance Measurement provides a viable alternative to financially based measurement systems, giving the manager a structured method to identify non-value adding activity and reduce operating costs.
