PHOTOGRAMMETRY PROVIDES FLEXIBLE GAGING IN REAL-TIME TO BE CONTINUOUSLY USED ON ASSEMBLY LINES IN AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURING. CURRENTLY THIS KIND OF MEASURING INFORMATION IS NEEDED FOR SPC (STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL) PURPOSES. ONE PROPOSED EXAMPLE OF PHOTOGRAMMETRIC APPLICATIONS IS THE MEASURING OF WINDSHIELD FRAME GEOMETRY AFTER AUTOMATIC WELDING OF CAR BODIES. THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS PAPER ARE IN REVEALING, BY SIMULATION OF THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE, THE HIGH PRECISION POTENTIALS OF PHOTOGRAMMETRY WHEN APPLIED TO SPC.
