However, to the greatest extent practicable, the guidance in this guide should be considered by these entities where efficiencies may be gained. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. Accountability will be evident through standard performance measures such as cost savings, increased asset utilization, extended asset life, and increased mission effectiveness.
